today I celebrate my online best-seller ~ Turtle Spirit pendant. It's made of two parts, front & back. The front dome is cast, the back dome is dapped (hammered into a concave shape). The parts are then soldered together, cleaned and hand enameled with a torch. Shown in sterling silver & crystal blue enamel. I have enameled other colors for custom orders, including a natural mottled brown & orange. Each finished piece is unique. I also make this in fine metals, with the top and bottom domes being different colors of gold. There is something about the negative space in the cut-out of the turtle, capturing not the physical form of the creature, but it's essence, light, spirit.
